The Group Photo Is Still Being Taken
Someone asks for one group photo. Everyone agrees, unaware that they have agreed to a small afternoon programme.
The first picture is fine, but someone blinked. In the second, someone dislikes their smile. By the sixth, several people are reviewing earlier versions of themselves while the person holding the phone begins to miss their own family.
Eventually, everyone approves a different photograph. The occasion has been documented. What the occasion was is becoming harder to remember.
